What is the Inala University Study Hub?

The Inala University Study Hub (IUSH) is a free, welcoming community space for all tertiary students (University, TAFE & VET). We offer a safe space, connection, and support to help students succeed. The Hub is supported by the Australian Government through the Suburban University Study Hubs Program.

The Study Hub brings campus-style facilities and student support closer to home. We are institution-agnostic, partnering with your chosen education provider to provide the support you need.

What facilities and services are available?

Who is eligible to use the University Study Hub?

The Inala University Study Hub is available free of charge to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in a tertiary study course with an Australian education provider (university or VET) and have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
  • Students aged 16 or above. Anyone under 18 years will need parental permission and will only have access to the Hub during staffed hours.
Do I have to live in Inala?

You do not need to live in Inala to use the Hub. It is open to students from any Australian university, TAFE, or registered training provider.

Do I need my own computer?

You do not need your own computer. The Study Hub provides all-in-one desktop computers and multiple desks with docking stations and screens where you can plug in your laptop.

It’s recommended to book desktop computers and study spaces in advance.

How much does it cost?

All services at the Inala University Study Hub are completely free of charge for registered students. This includes access to study spaces, high-speed internet, printing and copying services, and bookable services.

You do not need to pay for anything; all services and amenities are provided free to support your higher education journey.

Can I tour the Study Hub before registering?

Yes! You are welcome to drop in any time between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Our team are happy to show you around the Hub and, if you’d like, help you register if you decide to join.

Family and community members are always welcome for a tour.

Can I bring guests?

To use our Hub’s facilities or services including study spaces, Wi-Fi, and printing, all visitors must be registered.

Registration is quick and free, and it helps us make sure everyone can access the Hub safely and get the support they need.

How do I register?

Registration is simple and free:

  1. Complete our online registration form
  2. Book your in-person induction and bring your Proof of Identity with you
  3. Visit us at Level 1, 20 Wirraway Parade, INALA QLD 4077

To complete your registration, you will need to provide your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and details of your enrolment.

Preferred form of photo ID:

  • Student ID card with photo

Other accepted forms:

  • Driver’s licence (current)
  • Proof of age card / government-issued photo ID
  • Passport (current and valid)
